Friday Book Review: The Girl Who Played with Fire

I don't have time to write about how good The Girl Who Played With Fire by Stieg Larsson is as I am too busy reading the final book in the trilogy. I think you all should just go out and buy the whole series.

I agree. I picked up the first book on your recommendation while sitting in the airport and couldn't put it down.

Yeah, they certainly are engaging reads. Too bad that Mr. Larson has since passed away.

Hey Simon. Why is "buy" in bold here? What are you trying to say???

Based on your recommendation (and some other good things I heard) I did go and buy "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" and just finished it. Yeah, it was pretty awesome. I will read this one next. I'm trying to wait a couple of days to start it, as things were getting neglected around the house the last few days.

BTW, I bought from kobo and read on the kobo app on my iPhone. That was alright. I prefer Stanza. But Kobo was cheaper to buy the book than fictionwise or booksonboard. I haven't taken the time to figure out if I could import the kobo books to Stanza. Certainly I don't think I would be able to buy, download, and start reading right from my phone, which is what I did.

Yeah, I'm about two thirds of the way through The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets Nest and all my other books have been neglected since I started reading the series so I can easily imagine what your house looks like. I had to return a great book by China Mieville called The Kraken to the library when I hadn't even finished it because I was so tied up in this series.

I do prefer Stanza over Kobo as well. I think that Stanza could easily read the Kobo book if you could get the DRM off the file as Stanza can read anything. However, that is a bit of a pain in the ass and possibly illegal.
